Benefits of Aerial Pilates
The practice of Pilates Aéreo (also called fly pilates) of the AeroPilates® method is a fantastic alternative to achieve physical, mental and emotional well-being.

Contraindications of Pilates Aerial
Most people are able to practice Pilates Aerial (AeroPilates®). Most of the exercises can be performed worldwide except for people with some type of physical limitation, bone fracture or specific pathologies, but there are some contraindications to take into account for the most advanced level where we perform the inverted postures.
At the AeroPilates® Institute we have developed the AeroPilates® method under the supervision of medical specialists in sports medicine.
These would be the main contraindications according to Dr. Tapia in particular for the AeroPilates® method.
· Unmedicated hypertension (there is a risk of thrombosis)
· Retinal detachment (who should only perform exercises at ground level)
· Heart problems (Avoid all inversion)
· People who suffer easily dizziness
· People with pacemakers, arrhythmias ...
·Otitis, sinusitis and conjunctivitis
· Glaucoma (Avoid inversion pose)
· People with very deep varicose veins
· Cancer, lymphomas, in radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment: It will be the specialist who will decide whether or not to practice it
· During menstruation it is advisable not to make inversions
· People with more than eight diopters of myopia
·Hyperthyroidism
· Pregnant women: During the first trimester they should strictly follow the doctor's instructions and reduce physical activity as a precaution.
