5 Basic principles of the AeroPilates® method.
The Pilates Aéreo © (AeroPilates®) is an artistic method of postural awareness created and registered by Rafael Martinez that uses suspension as a means to restructure, redefine the body and improve the quality of life.

1-WHAT IS AEROPILATES?
Rafael Martinez has been inspired by the principles of methods such as Pilates, the Alexander method, Anti Gymnastics, Holistic Gymnastics, Girotonic, Feldenkrais, contemporary dance, hypo-pressure exercises, Kegel exercises, Yoga or art therapy.
Trapeze Aerial Pilates emerged from Pilates Creativo ©, a method of Pilates in tapestry developed by Rafael Martinez, from his studies of contemporary dance, plastic arts in Paris and Berlin, 2 years of anatomy at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and certification of 4 years of yoga internationally and with an experience of more 30 years personal and with real students, in his own study, where he combined in his classes, corporal expression, correction and conscience, with the use of elements such as balls, rubber bands, acupressure tapestries and the use of Functional Breathing ©.
2- WHAT IS FUNCTIONAL BREATHING
Functional Breathing, on the other hand, is a conscious breathing method essential for the work of Pilates in suspension developed by Rafael Martinez exclusively for his Pilates Aéreo method (AeroPilates®).
It is a fusion of the natural, yogic and pilates breaths in constant dialogue with the conscious work of the deep abdominal muscles and the pelvic floor. Functional Breathing ©, the result of years of work and experimentation, is a technique in which the respiratory gesture helps correct, improve and enhance posture.
3- WHAT ARE THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF THE AERIAL PILATES ©?
The Pilates Aerial Pilates (AeroPilates®) bases its work on the dialogue of conscious breathing, work in suspension and postural awareness.
Its objectives are to eliminate bodily tensions, promote vitality and rediscover the pleasure of consciousness, control and postural discipline, where you work by investing less effort and more efficiently.
The work in suspension in Aerial Pilates © AeroPilates® allows to release the accumulation of stress located in critical areas and allows the body to work, extend and grow without limits in a progressive and harmonious way.
The work of opposing forces of Pilates in the Air allows a progressive elongation and muscular bone structure, where to apply the concept of 'infinite elasticity' that Rafael works in his courses where he transmits to his students the power to recover their abilities and obtain a fuller body with fewer limitations.
The correct postural alignment in weightlessness provides a lower articulation as well as a low energy investment in a more conscious and effective posture, increasing proprioception, which is an advanced awareness of the different muscle, joint, internal organs, breathing, energy and Effort efficiency.
This energy saving has a positive effect on physical and also mental and emotional aspects and on an improvement in the quality of life.
4- WHAT BENEFITS DOES AEROPILATES® HAVE?
The body seems to regenerate with the work in suspension, since it allows a more localized and incisive practice in certain areas with less impact thanks to weightlessness, the student rediscovers his potential in a space without physical limits (being in the air, partial or completely thanks to the work in different intensity levels).

Aquí tienes 20 consejos de higiene y salud milenarios (algunos pueden resultarte curiosos!):
1˙levántate antes del amanecer
˙Evacuar materias fecales y orina˙Toma una baño o ducha
˙Vístete cómodamente
2˙Medita durante al menos 15 minutos para despertar el espíritu, órganos y sentidos
3˙Practica ejercicios de respiración (Pranayama) para refrescar cuerpo y espíritu4˙Practica algunos ejercicios físicos (yoga)
5˙Observa tu lengua, labios, ojos, nariz, orina, heces, rostro
˙Limpia todos los orificios corporales (boca, nariz, orejas, ano, órganos genitales etc.)
6˙Lávate los dientes después de cada comida
7˙Límpiate la lengua con un rastrillo para este menester (en tiendas especializadas en Ayurveda) o un cepillo muy suave. La limpieza de la lengua provoca un masaje de todos los órganos asociados (riñones, páncreas, pulmones, corazón..mas info en un próximo capítulo)
8˙Lávate las manos antes y después de comer
9˙Come en silencio,sin olvidarte de la comida que tienes en la boca
10˙Come lentamente, masticando bien en cada bocado (la digestión comienza en la boca)
11˙15 minutos después de cada comida realiza una pequeña caminata digestiva
12˙Espera de 4 a 6 horas hasta comer de nuevo otra vez (la comida anterior debe de ser digerida completamente)
13˙No comas a no ser que tengas hambre. saltarse una comida no es malo, mas bien al contrario
15˙Masajea suavemente tus encías todos los días con un poco de aceite de sésamo en el dedo
16˙Ayuna una vez por semana para eliminar toxinas
˙Cena antes de que caiga la noche (en invierno esto es mas difícil!)
17˙ Acuéstate antes de media noche
18˙ No retengas necesidades urgentes como orinar, defecar, estornudar, toser, bostezar, eructar o eliminar un gas
19˙Frótate los pies todas las noches antes de dormir con un poco de aceite de sésamo
21˙No duermas sobre el vientre
22˙Túmbate boca arriba 15 minutos una vez al día para relajar cuerpo y espíritu(Shavavasana)
23˙Sécate el pelo inmediatamente tras el baño para evitar problemas de sinus24˙Sonarse la nariz con demasiada fuerza puede ser negativo para orejas, ojos y nariz
25˙No dejes tus uñas crecer demasiado
26˙ Las relaciones sexuales justo después de comer no son aconsejables
27˙ Durante la regla la mujer debe cuidarse de efectuar esfuerzos excesivos, así como de realizar posturas de yoga invertidas o correr28˙Tras las relaciones sexuales beber leche caliente con azúcar de caña y nuez moscada para reforzar vuestra energía sexual.
